About Me

About Me – Your Guide to Natural Wellness

Hi, I’m Sara

I’m a wellness enthusiast who learned about natural remedies the hard way—through years of my own health struggles and endless experimentation.

Back in my corporate days, I was a mess. Chronic anxiety, terrible sleep, a stomach that felt like it was on fire every morning from coffee on an empty stomach, and energy crashes that had me face-down on my desk by 3 PM. Doctors gave me the usual prescriptions, but the side effects were just as bad as the original problems.

So I started exploring natural alternatives. Not because I had some grand vision, but because I was desperate and nothing else was working.

My Background

Education & Training:

  • B.S. in Nutritional Sciences – University of Washington
  • Certified Health & Wellness Coach – Institute for Integrative Nutrition
  • Certified Meditation Instructor – The Chopra Center
  • Herbalism Certificate Program – American Herbalists Guild

But honestly? The real education came from years of trial and error, testing remedies on myself, and keeping detailed journals of what actually worked versus what was just wellness industry BS.

What I Actually Do

I test natural wellness solutions and share what works. Simple as that.

Over the past several years, I’ve:

  • Tested 100+ herbal remedies and tracked the results
  • Experimented with different morning routines until I found one that actually gives me energy
  • Tried every “natural remedy” for digestive issues (some worked, many didn’t)
  • Practiced meditation daily and figured out which techniques are worth your time
  • Made every mistake possible so you don’t have to

My approach: I only write about things I’ve personally tried. Every article reflects my real experience—the good, the bad, and the stuff that completely failed.

My Philosophy

I’m not a doctor, and I don’t pretend to be one. I’m just someone who:

  • Was tired of feeling like crap all the time
  • Couldn’t afford expensive treatments or supplements
  • Started testing kitchen-based remedies out of necessity
  • Actually kept track of what worked

I share what helped me, backed by research when available, with the understanding that everyone’s body is different.

What makes my content different:

  • I test everything myself before writing about it
  • I share failures, not just successes
  • I give you realistic expectations, not miracle promises
  • I keep it simple and affordable

What I Use Daily (As of 2025)

Morning routine:

  • Warm lemon water first thing (helps with the stomach issues I used to have)
  • 10 minutes of light movement or stretching
  • Protein-rich breakfast (learned this the hard way after years of energy crashes)
  • Coffee AFTER breakfast, not before (game-changer for my stomach)

Throughout the day:

  • Herbal teas depending on what I need (ginger for digestion, peppermint for bloating, chamomile for stress)
  • Meditation or breathing exercises when anxiety hits
  • Hydration (boring but it works)

Evening routine:

  • Chamomile tea if I’m wired from the day
  • 20-30 minutes of reading or meditation
  • Consistent sleep schedule (finally fixed my insomnia)

Nothing fancy. Nothing expensive. Just consistent habits that actually move the needle.

Why I Started This Blog

I created this site to be the resource I desperately needed years ago—honest, tested, practical information about natural wellness solutions.

No affiliate marketing BS. No “miracle cure” claims. No products I’m trying to sell you.

Just real experience from someone who’s tried almost everything and wants to save you the time, money, and frustration.

My mission: Help you figure out what works for YOUR body through transparent sharing of what I’ve learned through years of experimentation.

Important Disclaimer

I am not a medical doctor, licensed herbalist, or healthcare provider.

Everything I share is based on:

  • My personal experiences and testing
  • Research from scientific literature and traditional herbal knowledge
  • Consultations with licensed practitioners when relevant

Always consult your healthcare provider before:

  • Starting any new supplement, herb, or remedy
  • Stopping prescribed medications
  • Treating any medical condition
  • If you’re pregnant, nursing, or have chronic health issues

What works for me may not work for you. Natural wellness is personal—you have to experiment and find what fits your body and lifestyle.
